Shot with a Woca (chinese holga)
A couple of months ago I attempted to scan my old negatives before it deteriorated completely. I found out how technically bad I was and I thought f2.8 was my "home". Images were out of focused, blurred, etc. Most of it is the perfect example of an unacceptable photograph. But in all fairness to me, I thought I had my composition right.
The scanning process gave me time to look back and remember the time I pressed those shutter. Back then, I had no freedom of shooting as much as I want as I was just a starting hobbyist with a very small paycheck (really small) and a roll of 36 exposures costs a whole days meal for me. And my previous career was my priority back then. Sometimes, I was only able to hold my camera only for cleaning, once a month!
Also back then, I had an all access pass to shooting dance and dancers. I just didn't have the time, money and right equipment to experiment. Looking back, I feel sorry for myself. Haha!
And I can't wait to shoot dance again!
Since we are moving back to Manila and leaving China in less than a week. I am hoping to shoot more dance and dancers this time. My dream is to be known as a dance and dancers' photographer. I guess now is the right time to start.
But besides dance, I will still be available for other photo assignments.
So Manila, be ready to add another photographer in your photographer infested city.
