Back to Dancing- Part 1

Well not really.

A few dance images I have been fortunate enough to create and capture for some dance companies and dance schools here in Manila.

First off, some dance portraits of the dancers and student dancers who joined the CCP Dance School Summer Workshop.

This shoot was a nice "welcome" for me. It did brought back some memories. It almost did not happen but I'm really glad it did.

For this shoot i tried using an alternative for a plexiglass (for those nice reflections). It did give me the reflections I wanted but it was not what I expected it to be. It's distorted! But in the end, i thought it looked interesting. They almost looked like they were floating on water.

Part of this project was also doing the students' head shots (over 200 of them).

Swans on the Lake

Ballet Manila did Swan Lake for their students' recital this year. It featured Joan Sia as Odette and Elpidio Magat as Siegfried. This is my first "in performance" project since coming back. I remember feeling really excited to shoot this.

the rest of the photos can be found here.

to be continued...
